Society is struggling to address COVID-19.  It is essential that we learn to respect the virus in order to manage it, to live with it.  We can learn from indigenous peoples' actions in addressing threats and challenges, summed up by moving from fear to respect.  As well, the crisis created by COVID presents an opportunity to renew our society if leaders can establish the vision and garner support.  A short article has been drafted to consider these elements - Fear to Respect, Crisis to Renewal.
